Household electrical appliances: cross-check labels and quality documentation for each model

The 2026 quality management framework requires accurate cross-checking against the applicable product lists and technical regulations. Buyers should prepare label photos and technical documentation before placing an electrical appliance order.

Cross-check the applicable management framework

Circular 36/2026/TT-BKHCN, issued on June 30 and effective from July 1, 2026, specifies product lists by risk level. The Government's introduction notes that electrical and electronic equipment related to electrical safety in Appendix I is subject to limits on power supply and voltage; it cannot be assumed that all products referred to as household appliances follow the same regime.

The source also notes that products subject to multiple technical regulations must meet the corresponding requirements. Therefore, correctly identifying the model and its functions is an essential preparation step before asking for a common document set for the entire order.

Create a data set for each model

The editorial team recommends compiling the trade name, model code, voltage, power rating, power supply type, functions, and label photos in one folder. If the product has a separate power adapter or wireless connectivity, clearly describe the configuration sold with it. Documents for different versions should be marked so reviewers do not use them incorrectly.

When the supplier sends test results or certificates, cross-check the organization name, model, version, and stated scope. Record any discrepancies to ask the conformity assessment body; do not use logo images in a catalogue as evidence in place of documentation.

Prepare labels before printing in large quantities

In its guidance on Decree 37/2026/ND-CP, the Ministry of Science and Technology distinguishes between original labels at customs clearance and completing Vietnamese labels before goods are placed on the market; supplementary content must accurately reflect the origin and nature of the goods.

Accordingly, the editorial team recommends requesting the proposed label version and photos of the label placement as soon as the sample is approved. Cross-check the model, specifications, and origin information among the label, user manual, and technical documentation. Unclear translations should be resolved before approving mass printing.

Finalize outstanding tasks before delivery

Create a table for each model: documents received, pending questions, responsible party, and required completion deadline. This article guides information preparation; it does not conclude that a model is compliant with technical regulations, exempt from inspection, or eligible for circulation. Specific requirements must be checked against the applicable lists, technical regulations, and the product's actual configuration.
