Frequently asked questions
What is the freight charge calculated based on?
Cargo characteristics, weight, volume, pickup point, and delivery point need to be verified. The quotation must state the unit of calculation, the measurement data used, and related charges. When only estimated specifications are available, the adjustment conditions after weighing and measuring should be clearly stated.
From which point is the transport time calculated?
The starting point must be confirmed, for example after the cargo and documents meet the agreed acceptance conditions. The date promised by the supplier is not necessarily the transport start date. Estimated milestones should be updated when data changes.
Does the quotation include domestic delivery?
Check the endpoint stated in the quotation. Delivery to a warehouse, delivery to the recipient's address, and placing goods at the point of use are different scopes. Lifting costs or vehicle access conditions should be clarified separately if incurred.
What additional information is needed for fragile or oversized goods?
Provide photos of the packages, packaging materials, dimensions, weight, and areas requiring protection. For equipment, also provide requirements regarding the center of gravity, lifting points, and placement orientation. The receiving plan can only be finalized after this information is reviewed.
