Charging Stations, UPS Systems and Generators
UPS systems may contain batteries, while generators may contain fuel; the actual shipment condition must be confirmed before selecting transport conditions.
Details
- Supply, convert or provide backup power. UPS systems may contain batteries, while generators may contain fuel; the actual shipment condition must be confirmed before selecting transport conditions.
- Specify the power rating, voltage, fuel, battery configuration and fuel condition in the machine at handover. Materials to be checked include: steel enclosure, electronic circuits, copper and batteries depending on configuration.
- Secure heavy equipment firmly; separate batteries and materials containing liquids according to the manufacturer's documentation.
- If accompanied by batteries, fuel or chemicals, an SDS and confirmation of transport classification are required based on the actual shipment configuration.
Preparation
- Request the UPS battery diagram, photos of the generator fuel tank, and confirmation of whether they have been removed/drained.

Frequently asked questions
Do generators and UPS systems without batteries have the same transport conditions?
Request the UPS battery diagram, photos of the generator fuel tank, and confirmation of whether they have been removed/drained. Specify the power rating, voltage, fuel, battery configuration and fuel condition in the machine at handover.
What aspects of charging stations, UPS systems and generators need to be verified before proposing an option?
If accompanied by batteries, fuel or chemicals, an SDS and confirmation of transport classification are required based on the actual shipment configuration.
